How to use Khorshid

Install it first, then three tiny things:

Add to Chrome, it's free
  1. Pin it to the toolbar

Click the puzzle piece next to the address bar, then the pin next to "Khorshid". Now the little sun lives up there.

  2. Open Notion

Dates switch to Jalali on their own. You don't have to do anything. Really, nothing.

    Open Notion
  3. Click the sun to change things

The menu is in Persian: turn Jalali dates off, pick a font (فونت فارسی) or switch digits (عددها فارسی باشن). Nothing changes inside Notion; your teammates see the usual dates.

A few more tricks

Type a Jalali date

In a Notion date field, type 1405/8/11 and press Enter. Notion saves that day.

I typed "sghl" on the wrong keyboard

Happens to the best of us. Select it, right-click and choose «کیبورد اشتباهی بود» (wrong keyboard), or press Alt + Shift + L. It becomes «سلام».

Persian fonts on other sites

Open the site, click the sun and choose «روشنش کن» (turn it on). Chrome asks once; click Allow.

A Persian calendar inside a Notion page

Click the sun, then «یه تقویم شمسی بذار تو نوشن» (add a calendar). Copy the link, type /embed in Notion and paste it.

The dates didn't change!

Don't panic, nothing's broken. Reload the Notion page. Also, Khorshid only works in the browser, not in Notion's desktop or phone apps. Still stuck? Tell me and I'll fix it.
