Everything your phone does, from the Mac
Texts
Every conversation in one window, with contact names and search. Persian and Arabic read right to left. Send from your keyboard; new texts show up as Mac notifications you can reply to.
Calls
An incoming call pops up on the Mac with Answer and Decline. Call anyone from a conversation, hang up from the menu bar. The phone switches to its loudspeaker on its own.
A webcam in Meet
The phone's front or back camera and its mic show up in Google Meet as Myna Front Camera and Myna Mic. Turn the phone and the picture turns with it.
Clean up in bulk
⌘-click, ⇧-click or ⌘A, then mark read, block or delete in one go. Right from the notification works too.
Block and export
Keep a block list, unblock with one click, and export it as CSV. Blocked senders stay out of your Messages and never notify.
Find Ads
A model reads the texts from senders you never answer and tells you which are ads, how sure it is, and why. Tick, block, done.
Spam, sorted by a model you choose
Pick Ollama or LM Studio and nothing leaves your Mac. Or use ChatGPT or Claude with your own key; then only the last few texts from senders you never replied to are sent, and only when you press Check Texts.
Bank alerts, delivery notices and one-time codes are not ads, and the model is told so.
Your block list, on the Mac and the phone
Blocks apply on the Mac right away. To block on the phone too, Myna sends them as one batch: tap the notification on the phone, and Myna becomes the SMS app for a moment, applies it, and hands the role back.
Export the list as CSV whenever you want a copy.
Paired with one scan
The Mac shows a QR code, the phone's camera opens Myna, done. The code holds a random key that encrypts everything between the two devices. There's no account and no server in between.
Works on the same Wi-Fi, or with the Mac on the phone's hotspot.
Install it in four steps
- Get Xcode from the App Store, XcodeGen (
brew install xcodegen) and Android Studio. - Download the code from GitHub and run
mac/install.sh. Myna lands in your Applications folder and the menu bar. - Plug in the phone with USB debugging on, build
android/with./gradlew assembleDebugand install it withadb install. Then Myna menu › Pair Phone, and scan. - For Meet, load the

Questions you're about to ask
Can I talk through my Mac's mic and speakers during a call?
Not yet. macOS doesn't let apps carry Bluetooth call audio, and Android doesn't let apps capture it; I tried both. Myna answers, places and hangs up calls from the Mac, and switches the phone to its loudspeaker so you don't have to pick it up.
Does it replace Samsung Messages or Google Messages?
No. Your SMS app keeps working as usual. Myna becomes the SMS app for a moment only when you delete, mark read or block from the Mac, then hands the role back.
Does it send my texts anywhere?
Only between your phone and your Mac, encrypted. The exception is Find Ads with ChatGPT or Claude: the last few texts from senders you never replied to go to that provider, only when you ask. With Ollama or LM Studio, nothing leaves your Mac. Privacy
Does the camera work in Zoom or FaceTime?
It works in Google Meet in Chrome and Edge, through the browser extension. A camera every app can see needs a paid Apple developer account, so that's for later.
Which phones does it work with?
Android 12 or later. It's built and tested on a Galaxy S24 FE with Android 17 (One UI 9), with macOS 27 on the Mac.
